Author Biography:

Suparna Choudhury is Junior Professor at the Max PlanckInstitute for the History of Science and the Berlin Institute forMind and Brain, Humboldt University, Germany. Her research examinesthe emergence of the ?neurological adolescent'. She has alsopublished on cultural neuroscience and topics at the intersectionof neuroscience and society.
Jan Slaby is Junior Professor in Philosophy of Mind andEmotion at Free University Berlin, Germany. The author of aGerman-language book exploring the world-disclosing nature of humanemotions, he has also been involved in research and teaching on thephilosophy of psychiatry, with a particular focus on affectivedisorders and background feelings.
